Improved Apps recognised in Salesforce Partner Innovation Awards
Every year, Salesforce recognises partners for outstanding innovation in delivering transformative solutions and customer success.
We are beyond delighted to share that Improved Apps has won the 2021 Salesforce Partner Innovation Award with our Sales Cloud solution for Brambles, showcasing leadership within the Salesforce ecosystem.
Improved Apps helped Brambles transform its business by implementing our zero-classroom training approach, the only native Digital Adoption Solution (DAS) for Salesforce.
The zero-classroom training approach, using Improved Help and Noticeboard, is part of Brambles’ strategy and commitment to being a leading sustainable logistics business, serving its customers, while minimising the impact on the environment and improving the efficiency and safety of supply chains around the world.
Once Brambles decided to implement Salesforce, they wanted to ensure the roll-out was a success. Improved Apps helped them deliver relevant content in context to guide the way, in 5 languages around the globe.
Brambles’ focus was ensuring usage and adoption rates remained high from the start. Now Brambles are expanding their roll out of Salesforce, Improved Apps continue to help them deliver relevant training and onboarding content to help guide the way, boost productivity and ensure process compliance.
Brambles knew upfront that maximizing user adoption of the platform would be the key to a successful ROI and Improved Apps’ expertise has helped them achieve this.
This win is a big deal for Improved Apps. We have been focused from the outset on boosting user engagement by providing content in context for every one of our customers, but to be recognised by Salesforce for demonstrating excellence in innovation is the icing on the cake.
We asked Simon Thompson, our CEO and Co-founder for his insights on how Improved Apps approached this award-winning project.
1. Making Users Jobs Easier
Brambles decided on a remote learning strategy way before Covid-19 arrived, and the functionality provided by Improved Apps and our partner, Native Video, played perfectly into this strategy. It allows the business to provide “just-in-time” learning on the topics users need every day.
● Deliver a virtual learning experience by creating learner journeys based on role
● Provide information at the point of need in text and video format
● Prioritise quality customer engagement
● Help people stop wasting time looking for the relevant content
● Significantly reduce overhead cost
● Reduced global travel and environmental impact
2. Strong Change Network
Brambles found that their Zero Classroom Training Policy was initially met with resistance from users who were used to traditional in-classroom training. Utilising Improved Apps tools, Brambles responded with immediate ‘need to know’ pieces of learning and in-app help. More importantly, they were quick to put in place the support of a strong change network, of respected experts within each department, to drive useful and relevant content and build user engagement and process compliance.
3. Address the Skills Gap
Research by McKinsey reported that 70% of digital transformation projects fail. One reason for this is the failure to address the skills gap created by new technologies, more agile processes, and remote working. The pace of change is happening fast—companies like Brambles who provide the tools that empower employees to embrace change and enable effective communication are much more likely to succeed.
4. Quick wins to build trust
In just weeks, Brambles deployed Improved Apps within their Salesforce Org and started building training content without any technical skills or complications. Our support team is always available to share best practice, regularly review progress, and look out for improvements for future releases of our products.
5. Video Training
Video-based training was highlighted as a “must have” requirement. Our partnership with NativeVideo empowered Brambles to easily curate and maintain a video-based training strategy and embed video easily within their training programme.
Proud to win the Salesforce Partner Innovation award
Overall, I am hugely proud of our work with Brambles and all our clients. Leading Improved Apps and our drive for customer success and delivery excellence as a Salesforce partner has been amazing. We are boosting user engagement and spearheading the Battle for Digital Adoption. Winning these awards shows that we are doing the right things and providing services in the ecosystem that resonate with all types of clients.
